O Minist\u00e9rio da Justi\u00e7a, Assuntos Constitucionais e Religiosos (MJCR) e a TotalEnergies EP Mozambique Area 1 Limitada), na sua qualidade de operadora do projecto Mozambique LNG, assinaram hoje, em Maputo, um memorando de entendimento que visa estabelecer a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o de um Plano de Interven\u00e7\u00e3o em Direitos Humanos para a regi\u00e3o de Afungi, na Prov\u00edncia de Cabo Delgado.<\/p>\n

O Plano de Interven\u00e7\u00e3o em Direitos Humanos ser\u00e1 desenvolvido pelo MJCR com o apoio log\u00edstico da TotalEnergies para atender as popula\u00e7\u00f5es do distrito de Palma na Prov\u00edncia de Cabo Delgado que foram particularmente afectadas pelo conflito armado naquela regi\u00e3o do Pa\u00eds por forma a prevenir e remediar os efeitos da viola\u00e7\u00e3o dos direitos humanos.<\/p>\n

O supracitado plano ter\u00e1 como principais objectivos assegurar que exista uma consci\u00eancia popular das normas dos direitos humanos na pen\u00ednsula de Afungi e assegurar que os cidad\u00e3os e as pessoas mais vulner\u00e1veis possam receber assist\u00eancia jur\u00eddica, em casos de viola\u00e7\u00e3o dos direitos humanos relacionados com o conflito armado.<\/p>\n

Para garantir a boa implementa\u00e7\u00e3o do Plano de Interven\u00e7\u00e3o em Direitos Humanos, a TotalEnergies ir\u00e1 suportar os custos de aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o de equipamentos e materiais necess\u00e1rios, bem como providenciar apoio log\u00edstico o para as equipas dedicadas \u00e0 execu\u00e7\u00e3o do plano.<\/span><\/p>\n

O Secret\u00e1rio Permanente do Minist\u00e9rio da Justi\u00e7a, Assuntos Constitucionais e Religiosos, Manuel Didier Malunga, afirmou que a celebra\u00e7\u00e3o do Memorando representa uma demonstra\u00e7\u00e3o do compromisso institucional do MJCR no estabelecimento de mecanismo de coopera\u00e7\u00e3o com a TotalEnergies Mo\u00e7ambique com o objectivo de desenvolver ac\u00e7\u00f5es por forma a prevenir e remediar a viola\u00e7\u00e3o dos Direitos Humanos, na Regi\u00e3o de Afungi onde se localiza \u00e1rea de Explora\u00e7\u00e3o de Hidrocarbonetos concessionada \u00e0 TotalEnergies.<\/p>\n
